Question 1. What was the inspiration for your mood? Why did you select the image for your video? What did it represent?

My inspiration for the mood was the perfume ‘Daisy’ by Marc Jacobs. As the name suggests, the mood was calming, peaceful and serene. My images included a picnic in nature with sweets and fruits. I wanted to capture that mood with the film camera aesthetic. The images represent innocence and playfulness which symbolize daisies.

Question 2. How well did you develop the edits and filters for this film?

I made several edits before I decided on a final edit. I decided to make all the video proportions 1:1 and add a sense of nostalgia by colour grading the videos to have a film camera or an old handheld camera look. I made faster cuts in tune with the song, which started off slow and picked up at the end.

Question3. What part was challenging?

The most challenging part was to accurately capture the mood of the perfume with limited amount of time and resources. I had to work in a faster manner and I couldn’t redo it even if It wasn’t perfect because of the deadline.
